What is infusion therapy?
Infusion therapy is a way to deliver medication directly to the bloodstream via intravenous delivery.
Do I need a physician referral to receive infusion therapy?
Yes. Your treating physician may refer you via our referrals page.
Who administers my infusion treatment at Infusion Care of East Alabama?
One of our experienced nurses will administer your infusion.
What insurance plans do you accept?
We accept most commercial insurance plans as well as Medicare and Medicaid. Please contact our office to see if your insurance is accepted.
I’m having a hard time affording my care. Can you help?
Yes! Our team is experienced in guiding patients through financial resources.
How long will it take to receive my infusion?
The length of your infusion depends on the therapy being administered. However, most infusion appointments last between 1 and 2 hours. A member of our team will give you specific information about your infusion prior to your first appointment.
What should I wear to my infusion appointment?
It’s best to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that give our team members access to your infusion site.
Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?
Yes! Our private suites are large enough to accommodate you and one guest.
What can I do during my infusion?
Our infusion suites have large-screen TVs with streaming capabilities. We also offer complimentary WiFi. You may have a snack, chat with a friend, or just rest!
Can I use the restroom during my appointment?
Yes. If you need to use the restroom, let one of our team members know and we will be happy to assist you.
